12-1am - 1980's Covers - Candy (DECADE)
1-2am - 1990's Covers - Potential (Factory)
*If you're not familiar with the music term "cover", that's when an artist/band records a song that has already been done by another artist/band. For example, No Doubt recently had a "hit" with their cover of Talk Talk's "It's My Life". So, DJ's will either play the cover, or the original, based on which decade they are playing. Hopefully, how many songs that you already know, which are actually covers, will surprise you. Like, did you know that "Tainted Love", "I Want Candy" and "One Step Beyond" are all covers?
So you'd be all snug in your PJ's with covers. Get it?
FREE ~ No Cover Charge All Night
Hostess Candy has sweet treats for you from every decade.

Re: "Pajama Party" with Cool Covers May 5th
Tue, April 18, 2006 - 9:26 PMare the bartenders going to go to Mexico to make the Margarita fixin's? just kidding! I think I'll stick to Coronas that night though!
so wait-are the original songs going to be from each respective decade, then the covers can be from ANY decade? I'm a tad confused! -

Re: "Pajama Party" with Cool Covers May 5th
Wed, April 19, 2006 - 3:01 PMDuhna,
1980's Covers with DJ Candy will be an hour of songs from the 1980s that are either:
A) covers of songs from the past (Example: "Don't Leave Me This Way" - The Communards, 1986, was a cover of the original from Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, 1975)
or B) 1980s songs that were covered later (Example: "Mad World" - Tears For Fears, 1982, covered by Gary Jules on the Donnie Darko soundtrack, 2001).
Got it?

Re: "Pajama Party" with Cool Covers May 5th
Wed, April 19, 2006 - 5:27 PMcorrection. I invited P'Lito, NOT Tony. and I knew P Lito would turn me down cause he's married. So there!
and thank you for your clarification John!
I think I shall start a Bingo night at Decade! a different classic game from each decade!
80's: Trivial Pursuit
60's/70's: Twister
etc etc. -

Wed, April 19, 2006 - 4:14 PMWell Dina,
I am going to do all covers that were done in the 2000's.
Most of which will covers from the 80's.
I'll make it easier. -

Wed, April 19, 2006 - 4:31 PM#1 Dina has a right to play naked bingo with whomever she wants.
#2 Regardless of if you get the concept or not, it will be a night of great music. I guarantee you will utter the words, "I didn't know this song was a cover."
#3 It is impossible to have a bad time while wearing your PJs in public.
Lastly, where else do you get free milk and cookies at midnight? It's a win/win! -

Mon, May 1, 2006 - 5:13 PM< #3 It is impossible to have a bad time while wearing your PJs in public.
So I am having more trouble deciding which PJ to wear than what to wear for prom.
The candidates are the black ones the red ones the grey t-shirt ones, The Daisy Duck ones, the ones I haven't bought yet... -
-
Re: "Pajama Party" with Cool Covers May 5th
Mon, May 1, 2006 - 8:37 PMYes, I agree! Wearing PJs in public isn't something I have to do very often. I've been shopping, but I'm due for new jammies anyways. -
