Mon, July 10, 2006 - 4:50 PMoooh so many great picks! Especially from TONY! I can't believe I just said that. -

Re: Guest MC Night - Who played what
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 5:24 PMYou know you love me Dina... It was the rock wasn't it?
I think I succeeded in not getting pigeon-holed into one type of DJ, rather a varied selection. Whoa Nelly, just think if I had a whole night...
Thanks again to Decade for giving me the oportunity to be a wannbe DJ. I have always wanted to spin and I got a chance to fullfil that the other night. I also got to work with one of the best DJ's this side of Tulsa and that was a joy. Skip really helped to make me feel relaxed with such soothing phrases like "You have less than a minute to pick something" and "I don't know."
Everyone had some great selections. I now know the name of a song that I did not know but heard before that Kitten played.
Thanks ya'll for entertaining me and putting up with me as well and for this that I offended (P'lito), tough! -

Re: Guest MC Night - Who played what
Mon, July 10, 2006 - 6:09 PMTwo minutes with Tony in the DJ booth...
Song begins to play.
Tony: "What should I play next?"
Skip: "I don't know, you're the DJ."
Tony: "Oh, I know. That song by what's his name. He used to be it that band, you know? They did that song. You know, it goes...ahhhh, wait, I can't think how it goes. Shoot. Where's my list?"
Skip: "Here it is."
Looks at list.
Tony: "What about, 'Blind Vision'? How's that go?"
Skip sings part of the song.
Tony: "I can't think how that would go with this song. Oh wait! I know!"
Looks through CD book.
Tony: "There's this song, I don't know who it's by. I think I brought it."
Looks through CD book again.
Tony: "Oh, oh, I know what would be perfect!" (names some totally inappropriate and totally obscure song) "But I didn't bring that. Do you have that?"
Skip: "Ahhh, no."
Tony: "What? How can you not have that song? Let me see my list."
Skip: "You have less than a minute to pick something"
Lather. Rinse. Repeat. -

Re: Guest MC Night - Who played what
Tue, July 11, 2006 - 3:21 PMOhh... That's right.... I thought that part was the dream...
So the part where all of the people started chanting "Tony!! Tony!! Tony!!" and throwing underwear at me was the dream? -

Re: Guest MC Night - Who played what
Sat, July 15, 2006 - 11:45 AMWhy Candy! I am SHOCKED! I expected that kind of response from Skip, not you. Looks like some of his personality is starting to rub off on you.
Tony, I thought you did great. I didn't care for the metal song but you got to play what you wanted to play. Glad to hear from Skip that you are, by FAR, more annoying in the DJ booth than I ever will be. Thanks for setting the bar really low.
