"Make Me Dance Night"
The Best Dance Songs From Every Decade
FREE – No Cover All Night
"Music doesn’t make you forget your problems, but it lets you dance all over them."
-Pete Townsend
Every hour one song will be crowned "Best Dance Song of the Decade".
You vote by dancing!
9-10pm
1980’s - "NEW WAVE"
The debut of DJ Tesla Boy and the answer to the question: How is he going to wear headphones
with that big Mohawk? DJ TB will be spinning the best ‘80s dance tracks from the likes of OMD, XTC,
BC and SC (that’s Big Country and Soft Cell, if you were wondering) for your dancing pleasure.
10-11pm
1990’s - "CHEESE COVERED DANCE POP"
DJ Tomas Diablo (Strangelove) says, "I'll take the '90s, which means I can dip into great popular music,
some darker stuff, and top it off with a little cheese too. A musical smorgasbord!". And the best thing? It’s all
you can eat! Expect to hear Depeche Mode, Deee-Lite, Technotronic, Daft Punk, and a dash of Salt N' Pepa.
11-12am
1980’s – "OUT-OF-PRINT HARD-TO-FIND ‘80s 12-INCHES"
DJ John (New Wave City) whips out his big twelve inches and exposes bands like Bronski Beat, Cetu Javu,
Cube, Desireless and Until December. This is your chance to see DJ John spin while wearing a trench coat,
and nothing else.
12-1am
1970’s – "NIGHT ON DISCO MOUNTAIN"
Yeah, they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
and just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
play that funky music DJ Skip from New Wave City…so I did!
Expect to get up and get down to Wild Cherry, KC & the Sunshine Band,
Earth Wind & Fire, and Abba.
1-2am
2000’s – "INDIE/DANCE POP"
DJ Candy (DECADE) cranks up the LCD Soundsystem, takes over the whole street for a Bloc Party,
produces some Gorillaz in her mist, and if you aren’t dancin’, then She Wants Revenge.
Don't be surprised to see this ad in the paper the next day-
LOST: Asses. Last seen at DECADE where they were danced off.
Hostess Candy has sweet treats for you from every decade.

Re: "Make Me Dance Night" - Friday October 6th
Thu, September 28, 2006 - 1:30 PMDuh. It was obvious, in your case, that "7 inches" was in reference to a record. That was a given. -

Re: "Make Me Dance Night" - Friday October 6th
Thu, September 28, 2006 - 4:01 PMIt's okay, Tomas. It's what's on the disc that counts, not the size. -

Uhhmm... Big Country and Soft Cell... Cool... But what's OMD and XTC?
I think we should just call him Tesla Hawk.
You know speaking of Tesla... Anyone ever see a real tesla coil in use? -

Re: "Make Me Dance Night" - Friday October 6th
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 3:39 PMStrangelove's site is www.strangeloveSF.com.
www.strangelove.com is the site of Dr. Michael Strangelove, a lecturer in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa.
"The real difference is that we do not bring forward from one context to the next the same set of ever more powerful symbols: our experience is fragmented. Our rituals create a lot of little sub-worlds, unrelated. Their rituals create one single, symbolically consistent universe."
Crap... I've gone cross-eyed. -
