What is your favorite vice?

My top 5 vices...

1. Sex (Duh!)
2. Masturbation (if you can't get 1, you gotta have 2)
3. Lust (the prelude to 1 or 2)
4. Drinking (also a prelude to 1 or 2)
5. Drugs (I miss those days when people didn't look at you like you were a leper
if you said that you, on occasion, like to partake of a reality-altering substance.
And people would casually offer to share. Ahhh the '80s, good times.)
(Also, yet another prelude to 1 or 2. Anyone have any preludes?)

    Drugs? Skip, you NEVER did drugs in the 80's. Oh wait...was that just marijuana? I can't remember. By the way...SEX is not a vice, unless you're a sheep farmer in Mendocino.

    My top vices are:
    1. Full-contact gardening
    2. Speed eating
    3. Dry-erase pen sniffing (particularly the green ones)
    3. Going out of numerical sequence on lists
    4. Urinating on trees (but only when camping or shopping on the Haight)

    That would be PORN!!!!!!!!
    How can you live with out porn? It's all around us!
    Like watching Kitten and Candy kiss. (see strangelove tribe - Undead Wedding)
    Or the giant boob cake for Kitten, Candy and Melting girl's birthday. (see New Wave City tirbe)
    It's all around us. The food we eat, the TV we watch, that one hot teacher you had back in high school. You can't escape it. ;)

    So my vote goes for Porn, sex, masturbation & drinking. ;)

          I NEVER bought drugs, but I did them when they were offered, which was quite often in those days.

            Skip, I must admit you never showed signs that you were ever high on something. Always in complete control you were. In fact I've only seen you drunk on two occasions:

            1. You're very first DJ gig at my apt. at the beach. I think it was Waxer's 30th B-day party.
            2. 4th of July when we got drunk on shitty wine and lit firecrackers in neighborhood mailboxes and you shot off that fire extiguisher in my hallway, and Patricia got smashed in the face from that can we exploded in the street.

            Ok so there's probably a few more but I was drunk too and forgot all about them. Which leads me to your song request list below. You need to add

                Oh, okay, if you must know:

                5. Gambling I like, but, come on, AVARICE! I don't care how I get it, I just want the money/goods/stuff.
                4. Lust. Seriously, it's the American dream. Lust for a woman, a car, a better job, yeah yeah call it 'hope' you namby pamby Disney wusses. 'Hope for a better life' isn't all Easten Bloc like it used to be.
                3. The Internet. Not exactly a vice in itself, but a collection of every vice known to man (and some not even known?)
                2. Porn. It's the ultimate goal of the internet. Pornography in the traditional sense, and even making porn out of plane wrecks, car crashes, and innocent lives. Voyeuristic human interaction on tap.
                1. Singing. I'm pretty sure I'm outlawed in 10 states.

          Now for a vice I forgot "in bed" ;) that was for you Candy
          I have been thinking about this vice thing and I realized
          I didn't put cussing down nor did anyone else. Heck I do
          that as much as I breathe everyday. I think I need to add
          that to my list probably pretty close to the top. It is like a drug
          or cigarettes. It's just something people gotta do.
          Damn! What a F*cking dumbass how could I forget that? ;)

        I guess mine was more of a can't-live-without type of list than the everyday practical vices.
        I don't swear much- out loud anyway. Usually only for emphasis and only if I can't be overheard
        by someone I'm not talking to. And it sounds like I'm the only one (male, anyway), not into porn.
        It just doesn't do anything for me. I'd rather look at the new Victoria's Secret catalog- which some
        would say is soft porn, I guess, or watch a JLH movie.

        My more everyday list- as in "a habitual and usually trivial defect or shortcoming".

        1. vinyl
        2. staying up way too late (me too Dina)
        3. TV- pretty much all reality shows (Project Runway, Amazing Race, Survivor, Contender, Hell's Kitchen) except for LOST
        4. internet
        5. procrastination (see 3 and 4)
        6. ice cream
        7. spelling- if I had known my spelling and grammar were going to be so publicly displayed, I would have paid a little more attention in school. Damn you ADD!

        All of those "in bed" except vinyl- oh wait...no, those sheets are plastic, not vinyl.

          ...and I believe you about the swearing. Seriously, I've only heard you swear at a poker game and on the golf course.

          Me? I swear all the time, especially in front of the kids. The reverse psychology aspect of it really works. My kids are embarassed by it and don't swear at all.

          okay I have accidentally tuned into Hell's Kitchen a few times, and I gotta say it is THE most vile piece of Television I have EVER seen in my life. I have watched the BBC version of his show (what is it called-Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares? which I guess is actually a different concept), which doesnt seem to be nearly as bad, but this is downright degrading and sadistic and the lowest of the low! I can handle a lot but this is BEYOND!

          fuck that guy-I will never go to any of his restuarants! I will now switch the channel to my man Tony Bourdain!
