Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, September 29, 2006 - 7:00 PMLike Candy said, she made me dance to that- it was her request.
And no, I'm not singing. I'm trying to keep from barfing. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, September 29, 2006 - 7:21 PMBut if I sung "Ceremony" would you barf while dancing? That's the real question.

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Mon, October 2, 2006 - 12:33 PMhmmmmm let's see.....
Barry Manilow-has a current long-running show at the Vegas Hilton, his own gift shop there (hilarious-especially the T-shirts that say "Barry Fanilow" a la Will and Grace!), sold-out performances, oh yeah-appeared on W&G, tons of hits, was just on the Emmy's and won an award, etc etc.
Alicia Bridges-who the hell is she?
Sorry, Barry can SO kick Alicia's ASS! -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Mon, October 2, 2006 - 12:45 PMOne punch to that nose Barry has, and he'd be in critical condition.
Can we get back to the topic? What are your favorite dance songs? -

80's "Face Up" - New Order
90's "See the Constellation" - They Might be Giants
00's "The Melting Moon" - VHS Or Beta

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Mon, October 2, 2006 - 4:31 PMThe sixties was hardest to pick, I went with the sentimental favorite....
1960s - Steppin Stone - The Monkees
1970s - Flashlight - Parliament
1980s - Mirror in the Bathroom - The English Beat
1990s - Girls & Boys - Blur
2000s - Glass Danse - The Faint -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Mon, October 2, 2006 - 6:18 PMLove love love "Dance With Me" by Lords of the New Church.
And "Don't Talk to Me (About Love)" by Altered Images.
And "Madame Butterfly" by Malcolm McLaren.
Why are all my faves from the 80s? Hmmm.

Tue, October 3, 2006 - 11:14 AMyou made me look up psychotic reaction - I had to see if it was real or not. There is a relatively long write up for the band on allmusic.com. -

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Thu, October 5, 2006 - 7:21 AMBest song ever written. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Thu, October 5, 2006 - 9:39 AMI would actually disagree, in favor of Tomas's pick of 'Rock Lobster.' That's like the Odyssey and the Iliad plus maybe all of Beethoven's symphonies in the form of a modern musical epic. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Thu, October 5, 2006 - 1:11 PMSez you and the Bikini Whale. -

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Thu, October 5, 2006 - 4:50 PMNice moves, ladies. But that guy should work on his air drumming.
I remember my mom telling me that she purchased Jimi Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced' because, and I quote, "Purple Haze was a great dance song". I could never quite figure out how to dance to it. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 7:37 AMTomas...maybe you're not smoking enough pot. You gotta dance like a hippy chick.
Great clip, Skip. Count 5 were punk before there was punk. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 11:04 AM> Tomas...maybe you're not smoking enough pot.
I highly doubt THAT'S the problem. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 11:12 AMIt WAS stated tongue-in-cheek.
Say....maybe your mom can show you a few of her dance moves from the 60's. Maybe she knows the Aqua Velva or the Hippy Hippy Hippy Shake -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 11:19 AMSay, don't that make you feel a whole lot better?
What you say? I'm just askin'!

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 1:35 PMWe have the loud music of the sixties to thank for Thomas' parents getting together.....they met at either a dance or a dance club. If Thomas' mom had really heard his dad's pickup line 'would one of you two wallflowers like to dance?' there would have been no dancing. Note to the single men out there, refering to a girl as a wallflower isn't complimentary. -
-
Re: What's your favorite dance song?
Fri, October 6, 2006 - 2:23 PMEspecially if she's your first cousin, which was the case for Tomas' parents. -

Re: What's your favorite dance song?
