Seriously, we've decided to give a voice to all the DJ-wanna-be's out there.
The variety of music that is the concept at DECADE, always seems to inspire
people to make A LOT of requests at our events. Well, what if you could actually
play your request at the club instead of just requesting your request?

(Huh? What'd he just say?)

Well, here's what we did. We wanted to give the DECADE Tribe members first chance
at an opportunity to "DJ" at the July DECADE. We printed out the entire membership
of the DECADE Tribe and made it into a poster. Eliminated anyone who doesn't live in
the area. Placed the poster up on the wall. Placed a blindfold on an impartial neighbor
and had her throw darts at the poster. After several misses (because, as with all of the
"great ideas" that come from DECADE-planning meetings, there was alcohol involved),
she managed to hit four of you. All four of those stuck in the face with a dart have confirmed
their willingness to participate as guest "DJ’s".

But, they won’t actually DJ. They’re more like MC’s - Master of Ceremonies – AKA, "record-picker-outers".
They decide what songs they want to play from Skip’s amazing library of ‘80s music
(or bring their own vinyl/CD’s) and hand the selection to either Skip, Candy, or John ,
who then actually spin it. (Just like MC Brain Damage - AKA P'lito from DECADE Tribe,
will do at the June 2nd event)

Now, I know what you’re thinkin’- "I WANNA PLAY!"

Do you feel lucky? Well do you, punk? Three more people will win 20-minute sets.
We’re not sure yet how we’re going to pick the three additional MC’s, but we do know
that you will have to be present at the event to win.
