Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Mon, March 6, 2006 - 5:05 PMIt was totally fun, even though I was only there for a short time.....but MAN that bar situation....I feel like I need to do a striptease or something to get a drink sometimes! (no wisecracks , you know who you are!) and that girl always looks like she's gonna crack any second! if that could be fixed, it would be perfect! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Mon, March 6, 2006 - 5:30 PMThank you Skip, Candy, John, Tomas, Mollie, and Andy for putting on Decade. Sorry if I forgot anyone. Congrats on the one year anniversary! It was a totally fun night!
Thank you. -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 7:27 AMJust one thing Skip, so nobody says anything about it.
The band that I played Ganymede is one word not two. ;)
I had a great time and I want to say thank you to Skip and
Candy for putting on Decade and letting me play there with
and for them. Thank you.
Thanks to everyone that keeps coming back so it can keep
going.
Maybe I should become a bartender if Dina is going to strip for drinks.
Just kidding Dina, I wanted to be the jokester to give you a hard time. ;)

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 9:10 AMLOL Dina. You should have seen poor John at the beginning of the night. He was the Invisible Man and couldn't get a beer to save his life. -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 10:19 AMYeah Dina I need you to stand next to me so I could have been noticed. ;)
Or I should have stood closer to Sandra that would have worked as well.
I have the perfect solution, it just came to me!
Next time I'll have Dina on one side and Sandra on the other side. I can't go wrong
then the bartenders will just flock to us and I will get a beer in no time. -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 12:13 PMhey I'm all for tag teaming as long as it gets me a DRINK! LORD! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 12:14 PMactually I think next time I'm gonna BYOB! that'll solve it! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 7:37 AMThis was my solution, and it worked from the very beginning......leave a good tip. -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 8:35 AMA) I always leave a tip
and
B) you don't leave a tip before you get your drink.
So how are they going to know?
If your there for 15-20 minutes waiting for a beer
your not going to leave more than a buck.
maybe that is just me. ;) -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 9:17 AMNo, but after that first drink they'll realize that you're a good tipper. Actually a buck is the norm so maybe you're being ignored because of the big "L" on your forehead.
I also noticed your stance. You just stood there quietly. You gotta get up to the bar an actually try to get their attention. Holding your money in plain site helps but don't wave it around like a jackass. That only works for me. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 12:27 PMHoney I always tip well first of all, I stood there quietly but practically leaning over the entire bar, HOLDING my cash...what else am I supposed to do? get up on the bar a la Coyote Ugly? I also arranged for my friend to have her 50th birthday party there which brought them business on an otherwise DEAD night....so I feel like I have done my best! now GIVE ME A GOD DAMNED DRINK! haha next time I'll just pick you up and wave you around like a jackass. That should work FOR SURE!

Wed, March 8, 2006 - 12:29 PM"If your there for 15-20 minutes waiting for a beer

maybe that is just me. ;) "
That would make me inclined to leave LESS than a buck....? -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 12:38 PMI don't think they are trying to ignore anyone. I do think that when it gets a bit crowded the bartenders kind of fall apart. When we first got there Friday night Danny had no troubles walking up to the bar and getting a drink. As the evening wore on, the more crowded it got, the longer he had to stand there waiting to get a drink.
But Dina if you feel inspired to go Coyote Ugly on them I will not object... :) -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 1:24 PMI actually want to see Dina go Coyote Ugly while waving P'Lito around like a dollar bill.
Now that I would tip more than a dollar to see. ;) -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 1:36 PMhaha that sounds like a lot of fun actually! hehehehe :)
but really, why do they fall apart? is it because they're not used to being so busy? I guess because they have all the frou-frou drinks on the menu it would make me crazy too if it got slammed....I went into the Orbit Room Saturday night with Tia to meet our friend for a quick drink and he said he'd been standing there 10 minutes waiting...of course they are the masters of frou-frou drinks, and with one bartender and a crowded bar it was IMPOSSIBLE. so we left. -

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 2:38 PMYou have to remember that all the drinks on the Catalyst menu are hand crafted and real fruit is killed, mamed and smashed to create the unique cocktails. There is a lot of labor and elbow grease involved. I know it's not really fair to wait that long for a beer, but give em' a little bit of a break for how much goes into each cocktail.
Besides, it's not like you can't enjoy the bevy of great music and lively peeps while you wait! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 3:26 PMI know...but I am an IMPATIENT PERSON! :) -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 3:59 PMWine anyone?
If P'lito, who can barely see over the bar, can get drinks, anyone can! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 4:05 PMHey I was just trying to get Dina up on the bar dancing....
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Wed, March 8, 2006 - 4:36 PMhey Wine is VERY quick AND easy to serve....I'll take a glass of wine! thanks! -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Thu, March 9, 2006 - 11:23 AMOk, I have the solution to everyone's problem.
1. Dina....meet me at my car before you go in. I'll have a cooler of drinks ready for you.
2. John and Skip....go f*** yourselves.
Truthfully, Candy hit it on the head. It takes time to make those drinks. That being said, Catalyst should recognize that fact and hire more help to take care of that Guinness-drinkin' butthead. -
-

Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Thu, March 9, 2006 - 12:27 PMYour number two suggestion almost made me spit when I read it. ;)
I also agree with your last comment. They should hire a bartender just to serve me
Guinness!! Cause it's all about me. Well, that is what the voice in my head is telling me
right now ;) -
-
Re: One Year Anniversary Party - Who played what...
Thu, March 9, 2006 - 1:58 PM....and yet somehow I pictured you to be a Budweiser man. Next month, stick with me and I'll see to it you get served quicker.
Now can we get back to Dina dancing on the bar? I'm getting visions in my head.
